Short Description

 

Verify health care benefits; document in EPIC

Obtain prior authorization and managed care referrals; document in EPIC

Daily EPIC Work Queue management.

Submit dashboard referrals to financial assistance team for guarantors with less than 100% coverage.

Utilize electronic tools and resources such as Navinet, AIM, I-exchange for obtaining pre-authorization, document in EPIC.

Clean chart check within 72 hours unless STAT case.  




Experience Required

2 years insurance verification or registration experience in a hospital or physician office, preferred. 

Knowledge of medical insurance and billing regulations, preferred.

Knowledge of EPIC or other electronic medical record systems a plus.  

Knowledge of Oral Surgery/Dental experience a plus. 

Excellent customer service.  

Knowledge of state and federal health insurance programs preferred. 

Ability to organize, take independent action and project Cooper core values to customers and 
co-workers. 

Basic knowledge of appointment scheduling, front desk functionality, and professional coding, preferred.  

Bilingual preferred.  


Education Requirements

HS diploma or equivalent


Special Requirements

Skilled in use of computers and software applications, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, registration and billing systems. 

Excellent verbal and written communications skills
