Short Description
This dynamic position alternates between functioning as a Clinical Service Representative and a Medical Practice Assistant based on daily operational needs. Responsibilities include both clinical and administrative duties, such as rooming patients, assisting providers with patient care, managing in-basket messages, coordinating medication pick-up, ordering labs, updating the medication lot manager, appointment scheduling, answering phones, and working with navigation and case management teams to ensure seamless patient hand-offs.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, take independent initiative, and consistently uphold Cooper University Health Care’s values. Emphasis is placed on maintaining regulatory standards while delivering a patient-focused experience through positive telephone etiquette and exceptional customer service
Experience Required
Minimum one year of recent healthcare experience preferred and/or documented evidence of externship completed in a medical office.
Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience.
Electronic health record experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
Outstanding patient experience skills.
Education Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent
License/Certification Requirements
• Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by NJAC(13:35-6.4) approved certifying body AND current certification from a recognized certifying board approved by NJ Board of Medical Examiners. • Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
