Summary:
The Sibling Center Assistant contributes to excellent patient experience by assessing, supporting and engaging siblings while the patient is in the health care system. The Sibling Center Assistant collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for siblings and families throughout the health care experience. The Sibling Center Assistant supports the full patient experience by providing focused psychosocial, emotionally safe care to siblings and families. The Cook Children's Experience Standards of connection, collaboration and elevating experiences are upheld through a culture of respect that values inclusion, diversity and health equity, empathy, listening, engagement, encouragement, communication, and an appreciation of partnership and teamwork. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in Child Development, or a related field
- Minimum one-year direct care experience in childcare setting
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- CPR - BLS is required within 60 days of hire
