Summary:
The Quality / Accreditation Specialist is responsible for providing concurrent and retrospective review of quality and regulatory issues related to patient care and other processes within Cook Health Care System. Under the Quality Management structure of CCHCS this position will work closely with medical staff, hospital staff and leaders throughout the system to identify opportunities recommend actions for improvement, facilitate QI Teams and educate with regard to QI principals and regulatory requirement.

Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree with five years healthcare experience. BSN preferred.
- Understanding of Quality Improvement methodology and accreditation and licensing standards preferred.
- Must be proficient in use of word processing applications, spreadsheet programs, database applications, and use of Web Based technology.

- Must be able to adapt to changing healthcare environment and requirements.
- Working knowledge of a comprehensive health accreditation programs and relationship with patient safety, risk management and infection control).

- Demonstrates independent judgment, autonomy and initiative in leadership skills, time management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects/functions in a busy work environment.
Certification/Licensure:
- Licensure required if healthcare license held.
