Summary:
The Mental Health Tech / Program Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescence. In this role you will assist children with activities of daily living, helping to maintain a safe environment and help them manage harmful behaviors. The Mental Health Tech also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process, and on-call as needed.
Hours: 32 hours per week/ varying shifts
Required Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree required. (Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, or related field is preferred).
- Education in Child Growth and development required.
- Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric or healthcare facility preferred but not required.
- Pediatric experience or experience working with at-risk youth preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association must be completed within 60 days of start date.
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
