Summary:

The Investment Analyst (IA) will initially have primary responsibility for portfolio analytics used to monitor existing investments and evaluate future opportunities. The IA will participate in due diligence meetings, and identify and take on important research and analytical tasks. He or she will have the opportunity to learn or deepen various skills including an understanding of selected asset classes, fund manager monitoring and assessment, and endowment management more broadly. Depending on the individuals job performance and growth, he or she will have the opportunity to play a lead role in the monitoring and evaluation of a number of existing portfolio funds. It is critical that the IA enjoy working closely within a small team with one common goal, where all members pitch in without hesitation on any and all tasks that arise.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in finance/economics/mathematics/engineering; postgraduate degree (M.B.A.
    • r other advanced degree in mathematics, economics, finance, business, etc.) or C.F.A. designation a plus.
  • Experience is not required.
  • Superior quantitative and computer skills with software expertise in Excel, Access and familiarity with returns based analysis software.
  • The ability to work closely and effectively with a small investment team and hospital administration.
  • The ability to think critically (healthy skepticism) and strategically, cut through complexity, synthesize and articulate complex concepts in a simple, meaningful, jargon-free fashion.
  • The ability to be constructively challenging, skillfully diplomatic, and respectfully debate.
  • High ethical and professional standards.
  • Travel and personal flexibility to contribute effectively to the team are required in this job.
