Summary:

Cook Children's is looking for you to join us as our Director, of System Credentialing and Medical Staff. You will be responsible for the overall leadership and communication of professional activities for Cook Children's Medical Center's Fort Worth and Prosper medical staff organizations, as well as the credentialing of Medical Centers, Network and Health Plan providers. Your responsibilities include:

  • credentialing
  • bylaws
  • rules and regulations of the professional
  • Joint Commission, CMS, NCQA and other regulatory agency compliance relative to medical staff standards.

Education & Experience:

  • Five years of experience in Medical Staff Services and Credentialing
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; significant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Expertise in computerized credentialing software packages
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability in physician relations

Certification/Licensure:

• ne of the following required:

  • Certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
  • Certified Professional Medical Staff Services Management (CPMSM) (preferred)
