Summary:
The Building Engineer (Off-Campus Properties) is responsible for working directly with the Building Engineer Supervisor and the Real Estate Department in implementing the energy management, preventive maintenance, quality standards, and operating objectives of all off-campus properties.
Education & Experience:
- Three years of relevant property and building maintenance experience.
- Education in lieu of a portion of experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of various building mechanical systems.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Reasoning
- Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral of diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and h ear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and occasionally sit, climb or balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste and smell.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Certification/Licensure:
- CFC 1 and 2 certifications are required; CFC 3 (Universal) must be obtained within 90 days after hire.
- Ability to obtain other city required licenses as needed.
- Must meet standards for use of company owned vehicle set forth in policy manual, and comply with the policies.
