Quality Technician (7am-3pm)

Rochester, NH

Job Description

  • Organize the activities of the day/week according to the internal or external customer demand or even established by the assigned Lead of the lab.
  • Perform the activity following specific SOP's, specifications, customer requirements or Inspection Instructions. Depending on the risk associated in case of non-OK result, escalation should be done immediately through using effective communication and documentation, according to the SOP associated. Develop inspection reports for measurements performed.
  • In the event of damage, malfunction, lost or needing replacement of any instrument with or equipment, it must be reported and removed from use (as applicable).
  • Perform MSA Studies as planned by the Quality Engineer or by the assigned Lead of the Lab, addressing the results to them, as well as reporting suggestions for improvements.
  • Maintain organized/detailed records, benches and instruments during the activities being performed. Update work instructions or inspection instructions as required.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for products and processes (not limited to the Quality Dept.) suggesting Preventative Action Reports (PARs) or Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
  • Support Customer, Internal, and External IATF 16949 audit program(s) as required.
  • Perform PPAP based on the customer requirements.

    Qualifications
    Required Level II
    • 2+ years Quality experience
    • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
    • Advanced knowledge ofreading and interpretingtechnical drawings.
    • Basic knowledge of tools of metrology including Vernier calipers, micrometer, go-no go gauges, etc.
    • Basic knowledgeof Microsoft office (including Excel, Word, Power Point).
    • Basic math skills.
    • Basic problem solving.
    • Basic analytical skills.
    • Basic knowledge of GD&T.
    • Basic knowledge of PPAP.
    • Basic knowledge of MSA (Measurement System Analysis).

    Preferred Level II
    • Basic knowledge of 3D Scanner and / or CMM, Height Gauge, Optical Profile Projector, Roughness tester, etc.
    • Basic ability to identify trends.
    • Basic knowledge of Minitab.
    • Core tools.
    • Basic knowledge about calibration process and requirements.
    • Basic knowledge about technical cleanliness requirements and procedure for testingbased on ISO 16232.
    Additional Requirements Level III
    • 3+ years Quality experience
    • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
    • Advanced MS Office 365 Package
    • Advanced math skills
    • Advanced knowledge of tools of metrology including vernier calipers, go-no go gauges.
    • Advanced problem solving.
    • Advanced analytical skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of GD&T.
    • Basic knowledge about calibration process and requirements.
    • Basic knowledge about cleanliness requirements and procedure for testing.
    • Basic knowledge of 3D Scanner and or CMM, Height Gauge, Optical Profile Projector, Roughness tester, etc.
    • Basic ability to identify trends.
    • Basic troubleshooting skills.
    • Basic SAP experience.
    • Basic knowledge of quality core tools (FMEA, Control Plan, MSA , APQP).
    • Basic in compliance to Lab standards.
    • Basic training skills.
