Job Description
As Global Lead Origin & Preferences Manager (m/f/diverse) you will be contributing to the development of Continental's customs strategies ensuring that Continental can realize financial benefits out of Regional & Free Trade Agreements worldwide in a compliant and highly efficient manner.

You will therefore

  • Set global standards for Origin & Customs Preference management
  • Functionally steer & monitor regional teams in terms of Origin Management and Trade Agreement utilization
  • Provide professional guidance to the whole Continental Organization
  • Conduct trainings both remotely and on site (various locations and countries)
  • Prepare impact analysis of Regional & Free Trade Agreements on Continentals business
  • Prepare management summaries & support management decisions
  • Provide expert knowledge for strategic manufacturing & distribution footprint projects (where to produce under maximum duty cost saving opportunities)
  • lead negotiations/ communication with suppliers, customers, associations and authorities on origin topics from a global perspective
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with customs authorities (e.g., auditors)
  • Prepare assessments and reports as required by management

Qualifications
  • University degree within business/finance/informatics or an interdisciplinary education, such as international business law or business informatics or sound experience in Customs Management in your previous career
  • You have had several years of industry/corporate experience within customs/taxes/controlling or finance
  • Fluent English both in speaking and writing is required for this role
  • You show exceptional social competence, including good communication skills, openness, a cooperative working style and a distinct ability to work across cultures and countries
  • You show motivation and initiative by setting your own expectations and goals
  • You show a strong customer and stakeholder focus
  • You have the ability to present complicated facts in a simple way
  • You prefer a team-oriented way of working and show high assertiveness
