Summary/Objective:
The Special Packs/Packaging Line Technician is responsible for taking finished, cased wine and getting it ready for distribution to Domestic and International customers by relabeling bottles and cases to be in compliance with government regulations. The Special Packs and Packaging Line Technician also works on a packaging line taking wine components and assembling the components into a finish product.
Essential Job Functions:
Special Packs and Packaging Line:
- Case Coding: Verify quantities and item numbers are correct, verify case labels provided are correct as requested on the pick slip. Apply required label(s) to the cases. Document completed work.
- Strip Labeling: Apply required label(s) to the bottles and cases. Document completed work.
- Inspections: Remove the bottles from the case, inspect the bottles for label, capsules, and glass defects. Wipe the bottles with glass cleaner and place the bottles back into the case.
- Case Unloading: Remove the case from a roller platform, place the bottles onto the assembly line, and inspect the bottle for crease corks or bad glass.
- Tissue Wrapping: Remove the bottles from assembly line, wrap the bottles with tissue paper, and place the bottle back on the assembly line.
- Scanning: Scan the QR code on the wood box and back label to a program, then place the bottles into the wood box.
- Wood Box Nailing: Securing wood box lid using a nail gun and stacking the wood boxes onto a pallet.
- Case Baling: Learn to operate baler. Breakdown or stack boxes into baler, and tie bales with metal straps for removal.
- Responsible for compliance with CBUSO sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.
- Safety - follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety.

Qualifications:
- Able to understand and follow instructions.
- Able to work in a cool temperature for sustained periods of time.
- Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to understand work orders for processing special projects
- Able to communicate effectively with co-workers
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work overtime, swing shift, and weekends on short notice.
- 1 year equivalent experience
ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements:
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and for sustained periods of time. Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Able to grasp bottles, apply labels and stickers, and use fine motor skills for other tasks
- Work Environment: Warehouse environment with heavy forklift traffic. Cool temperatures

The salary range for this role is:
$17.90 - $25.76
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
