Job Description
The Intern, Finance Analytics position requires a creative problem solver to develop automated solutions for a global organization. Responsibilities include analysis, development, support, implementation, and scaling of dashboard development in a high paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Further team's data visualization and dashboarding efforts around monthly reporting, enabling senior leadership to understand the financial status of their organization efficiently
- Collaborates with Data Engineer and Product Owner to understand BI needs, gather business requirements and deliver BI solutions that provide actionable insights
- Assists in designing and developing business intelligence dashboards, analytic reports and data visualizations using Power BI, as well as other reporting tools (as needed)
- Assists in the development of highly engaging dashboard visualizations and use innovative functions & features in dashboard design
- Ensures accuracy of reports and dashboards through quality assurance
- Participates in investigation and remediation of issues as required.
- Challenges the status quo, favor simple and highly impactful solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing education in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Math, Physics, or equivalent
- Team player, flexible, and outcome focused
- Strong self-direction and initiative; willingness to take complete ownership over projects and tasks
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Committed to finding solutions to challenges and enjoys creative problem solving
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple activities in a very dynamic, changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence at all levels and geographic locations; awareness of cultural differences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building reports within Power BI or another BI tool (Tableau and/or MicroStrategy). Proficient in building measures, calculated columns, and custom fields
- Experience in gathering business requirements and translating to technical details
- Nice-To-Have: DAX, Power Query, and data modeling as well as understanding of Power BI workspaces, deployment pipelines, parameters, and deployment rules.
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Familiarity with data visualization and dashboarding
- Demonstrated experience managing exceptions and providing support in fast paced transactional processes.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
- Primary work environment is professional corporate office
- Ability to travel commercially to domestic and international locations
The salary range for this role is:
$19.00- $29.50 an hour
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
