Technical Skills

Proficiency in digital tools and software required. ERP experience is desirable.

Summary

The primary function of the Director of Logistics and Distribution is the planning, management, and coordination of our end-to-end distribution chain for materials, dunnage, and finished goods related to replenishment, demand fulfillment, warehouse operations, and material flow management. Including management of transportation modalities, services management, and logistics systems development that promote continuous improvement and generate network productivity while maintaining best in class service. Additionally, the Director is expected to actively identify and develop talent to ensure long-term resiliency and success of the group.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for the management of 15% of ~$1.2B in logistics spend.

· Manages personnel in performing critical logistics functions by managing, motivating, and developing employees, planning, and delegating work, and setting functional priorities and goals consistent with department and company goals and objectives.

· Continually re-engineer and adapt logistic strategies to enhance and accelerate performance in value chain.

· Supports Short Term Strategy (1-2 years) - empowers team to develop and execute annual business performance (cost, revenue, production, procurement).

· Creates Long Term Strategy (2-5 years) - Developing cohesive logistic strategies to create sustainable and best in class logistics systems/networks.

· Market Analysis - Responsible for attending conferences, trade shows, educational seminars and remains abreast of trade association materials as it relates to the Logistics and Distribution market to provide relevant information on CBI strategic approach to the industry.

· Contributes to and supports the logistics commercial processes, including commodity strategies, network design & optimization, performance measurement, and sourcing events

· Ensures CBI is extracting the contracted value from suppliers.

· Understands and enforces CBI Contract Management per Legal policies.

· Develops and implements supplier performance management systems. This includes the development of performance metrics, scorecard development, QB/AB reviews and CAR (Corrective Action and Recovery) plans.

· Design, coordinate, and optimize routings for materials, dunnage/cooperage and finished goods throughout CBBU locations.

1. Manage and influence inventory and infrastructure (MHE - Materials Handling Engineer) - specifics added to MLM role, but not needed for generic)

· Execution of supply flows (empty, in route, yard, floor) regarding materials, finished goods and equipment modality.

Influence end-to-end supply chain on optimal performance of inventory flows (material, finished goods, dunnage).

· Works with suppliers to mitigate shipment delays and network service-related issues south of the border for 25+ warehouses, 3 breweries, 30+ TL carriers, 7+ Rail providers, 40+ Material locations

· Demurrage and accessorial management.

· Support invoice/payable for all supplies.

· Responsible for following core functions related to Beer Trade Controls and Business Compliance:

1. Customs - Manages and monitors Mexican and US customs clearance and inspection processes.

2. Trade Agreement - Manages the execution of trade agreement program internal controls for Finished goods and kegs.

3. Audit - Internal (e.g. inventory) and external (e.g. import transactions) for accuracy and compliance.

4. Compliance Manual Creation/Maintenance - Manage CBI's import, export, and service compliance manuals.

5. Certificate and Requirement Management - CTPAT, OEA's, DHS, TTB, Craft Beer Modernization Act (CBMA), and FDA facility registration process and reporting for CBI (including transloads and cross docks).

6. Maintain records to support all claims as per CBP, FDA, TTB and DHS requirements.

· Claims and Damage Prevention - derailments, reworks, theft. Oversee the correct blocking of the product as well as having the documental process all suppliers.

· Identify and drive cost savings initiatives that drive productivity improvements, reduce working capital exposure, and promote continuous improvement
