Our Growth & Innovation Team exists to create bold ideas in and outside of our premium portfolio of iconic brands, including Corona Extra, Modelo Especial, Kim Crawford, Meiomi, The Prisoner, SVEDKA Vodka and High West Whiskey. Our innovation team is on a mission to deliver new, culturally relevant perspectives and ideas to CBI. You will work with some of the greatest minds in marketing and beverage alcohol at large, and you will change culture in this role.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Associate Marketing Manager for Innovation who can act as a cross-functional team leader for bold product innovation across alcohol beverage categories, with a focus on working with our iconic flagship brands - Corona, Modelo, and Pacifico, and supporting the team in finding the next great idea, liquid or brand. The Associate Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and flawless execution of disruptive product innovations from ideation through launch, leveraging our strategic process and acting as a key lead with partners and stakeholders along the way.

Leveraging market and consumer insights, this individual develops and manages an innovation pipeline of breakthrough projects that both support brand strategies and pursue opportunities for new brands and platforms to meet consumer demands. This role will also provide ample experience in innovation as you will support a range of projects to help in the concept vision creation, problem-solving, and capabilities building needed for successful innovation launches.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage new product innovation from concept ideation through commercialization on an iconic portfolio across our brands working with partners on everything from concept testing, liquid development, packaging design, etc.
  • Lead cross functional teams in support of new product development projects and leverage resources as needed to facilitate process.
  • Lead and participate in ideation/brainstorming sessions and concept/proposition development.
  • Leverage the power of storytelling to bring to life innovation concepts and inspire support internally and externally
  • Utilize advanced consumer insights to identify opportunities and further validate and optimize concepts that will drive growth and meet objectives
  • Partner with Brand Teams to develop products that will support brand strategies
  • Participate in market visits and assist in retail planning and review meetings.
  • Utilize competitive, category, consumer, shopper, and retailer insights to further validate and optimize concepts that will drive growth volume and meet objectives.
  • Prepare material for executive updates, internal and external sales and retailer meetings, Stage Gate meetings, etc. as required.
  • Assist Beer Innovation Manager in the development of broader innovation platform strategy development that guides long term pipeline strategy
  • Assist Beer Innovation Manager in driving process improvements that bring agility to the team to help us compete faster and stronger in the evolving consumer marketplace

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience in a B2C company (CPG, beer or spirits industry preferred; food or beverage industry experience desirable)
  • Bachelor's degree or job experience in relevant field preferred (Marketing, Business, Management, etc.)
  • Proven track record of successful innovation utilizing a stage-gate process a plus
  • Expertise in leading strong cross-functional teams and skill in working and influencing within a matrix environment
  • Experience directing and collaborating with external partners (e.g., brand strategy, package design, research agencies) for brand development and execution
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated aptitude to utilize consumer insights, trend analysis, syndicated and customized research and other sources to turn data and information into actionable insights, exposure to working with P&L's a plus
  • Demonstrate a "can-do" attitude with an interest in problem solving and finding a way to success
  • Provides clear, succinct and relevant written and verbal communication.

  • Creative, and ready to demonstrate how that manifests in different areas of your life. We think creativity starts with an ability to identify a problem.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills - Experience managing complex project list, priorities and budgets with a focus on driving for results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage expectations of supervisor, other functional groups and agency partners.
  • Fosters open, honest, and direct communication while maintaining sensitivity to confidential information.
  • Demonstrates a genuine desire and passion for the alcohol industry.
  • Belief in the power of the team, enthusiasm for driving a strong internal culture, and a sense of humor (optional, but trust us - it will help)

The salary range for this role is:
$92,500.00 - $141,700.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
