The IT Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT and computer systems, supporting our teams across three office locations in the US and internationally. You'll lead a small team responsible for supporting global end users, managing our network, and maintaining critical enterprise applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this hands-on role involves managing IT staff, developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, and collaborating with other departments to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the IT Team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and administration of all IT systems, including networks, servers, databases, and software applications.
  • Provide comprehensive IT support, including provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Manage desktop support globally, assigning work, setting priorities, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure employees have necessary technology tools (e.g., laptops, software).
  • Monitor and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, networks, and databases.
  • Ensure adherence to IT best practices and support compliance audits.
  • Manage critical apps and communication systems, including email, instant messaging, and video conferencing.
  • Provide user training and support.
  • Be on call to manage critical issues outside normal work hours.
  • Implement and manage data storage solutions, including cloud storage.
  • Maintain network security and ensure data privacy and security standards.
  • Coordinate the purchase, installation, and maintenance of desktop equipment, printers, and mobile devices while also maintaining inventory of assets.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
  • Identify and recommend new technologies to improve business processes.
  • Ensure IT project completion on time and within budget.
  • Document and maintain internal processes and procedures SOPs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users.
  • Ensure the availability and reliability of IT systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Appropriately Handle sensitive and privileged company information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting hardware and software in an enterprise environment.
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and best practices.
  • Experience with network administration, cybersecurity, and data management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and service orientation.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
  • Availability for on-call support during critical incidents or emergencies.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other company sites or for professional development.

This is a full-time, in-office role (4 days a week in the office, work from anywhere 1 day a week) based at our corporate offices in New York City.

Compensation: Conductor maintains competitive, performance-based compensation programs. 

The NYC base salary range for this role is currently $80,000- 115,000. Actual base salary offered may vary within this range based on  education, knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience, internal equity, and geographic location, among other factors. The actual compensation, if offered a position, will be based on these factors.

Variable compensation: In addition to the base salary, this role is also eligible for an annual Corporate Bonus of 10% tied to company and individual performance.
