A role you will love

As a Technical Delivery Lead, your role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of our middleware services to our value streams, ensuring engineering excellence and strategic alignment in our multi-year digital program.

Your experience will be key in cultivating a high-performance team culture, focused on delivering exceptional results. Your leadership will shape the methodologies and practices within the team as well as perfecting an environment of continuous improvement and innovation.

Some key responsibilities:

  • You will serve as the primary point of contact for the API capability within a value stream, fostering strong collaborative relationships with the Product Manager, Value Stream Delivery Lead and Value Stream Architect.
  • You will oversee the planning and resource allocation to deliver the value stream effectively, ensuring delivery is in line with value stream objectives as well as middleware standards, maintaining transparency and consistency with the team's methodologies.
  • Using your extensive technical experience/knowledge will identify and resolve challenges, keeping the delivery process on track.
  • You will find a balance between managing immediate operational requirements and long-term planning, in order to ensure the team is well-equipped to handle current tasks while being prepared for future challenges.
  • Your solid communication skills with help portray complex information in a clear and concise manner leading to comprehensive reporting and project artifacts, providing clear visibility of progress to stakeholders across various levels.

What will you bring to the role?

You will have experience of leading development middleware/API teams in support of digital products and/or digital journeys from Financial Services in areas such as: Digitising Operations/call centre transactions, B2C mobile and browser channels in Financial Services, B2B Client portals/channels in Financial Services or Digital identity and authentication.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • You will have experience working on a digital transformation for a Financial Services organisation or a FinTech that has launched digital products and/or platforms.
  • You will leverage your deep functional knowledge and extensive technical experience to lead the delivery of value-stream aligned outcomes.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Developer/Team Leader working within a delivery team environment.
  • Significant experience in C# .NET based microservices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills including technical mentoring of software development staff.
