We are looking for a highly analytical professional to join our Tax Team as a Tax Administrator in our Toronto office.

This is a great department to join! Working in operations gives you a great understanding of our wider business as you get to work with multiple different business lines and see the many different transactions and work that Computershare is involved in.

A role you will love

As a Tax Administrator, you will be responsible for reviewing, researching, and analyzing client's tax records and payments made to security holders as well as claims received from IRS, CRA, and MRQ.

Other key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Coordinate complete production of accurate year-end tax reporting to security holders in accordance with client instructions

• Ensure timely processing of all tax remittances is in strict adherence to regulatory deadlines

• Must investigate that all credit and refunds are applied correctly and ensure all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner

• Responsible for reviewing, researching and analyzing the impact of tax regulation related documents, such as publications, forms and guides

• Validate security holders' tax record updates with the submitted documentation

• Process tax refunds and adjustments for security holders and tax authorities

• Maintain technical documentation and procedure manuals

• Required to plan most aspects of their own work with specified deadlines with occasional need to change the priorities of the job

What will you bring to the role?

Post-Secondary Education with Accounting

Must have intermediate Microsoft application skills, particularly Excel

Strong communication skills (verbal and written),

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Minimum keyboarding skills of 50-60 wpm

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and the ability to apply professional judgment to escalate or work with other stakeholders when applicable.

Must be proactive and someone who takes initiative.

Must be adaptable to the changing needs of the department, including working in a rotating shift schedule between 8:30 to 7:00 pm.

Available to work overtime during tax season (Jan-Mar).

Canadian Securities Course and/or Trust Institute course is optional but preferred.
