This is a hybrid position primarily based in Bristol. A role you will love

As a Sustainability Specialist, you will support the delivery and project management of Computershare's global Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) and Net Zero programmes. Working as part of the global ESG Team, you will drive the delivery of the required actions to the specified timescales and success criteria. You will support on a number of key annual ESG reporting activities and external disclosures (e.g. CDP disclosure, EcoVadis assessment and Corporate Carbon Footprint data collection). Lastly, you'll provide ad hoc support to other related programmes within the Team.

  • Support the ongoing delivery of ESG and Net Zero programmes.
  • Lead key annual ESG reporting activities (e.g. CDP disclosure, EcoVadis assessment and our Corporate Carbon Footprint data collection).
  • Build relationships, collaborate and communicate with key internal stakeholders to successfully deliver ESG/Net Zero programmes
  • Maintain ESG external rating agency tracker and support annual improvements to external disclosures
  • Support Regional Sustainability Champion meeting (e.g. recording of meeting minutes, coordinating network support)
  • Support client proposals in terms of ESG aspects (as required)
  • Act as an in-house subject matter expert on ESG matters, supported through independent research, analysis and insight
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to promote and increase their awareness of and engagement with ESG initiatives
  • Research, analyse and monitor global policy and legislative changes related to ESG issues and programmes
  • Advocate for ESG values and practices as the organisation develops and enhances programmes and strategies
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop, validate and track progress against our carbon reduction plan
  • Provide support for internal and external audits (as required)

What will you bring to the role?

Key skills desired for the role include:

  • 1- 3 years experience in a similar role
  • University degree in a relevant discipline, and preferably a master's degree with a focus on Sustainability
  • A basic understanding of environmental management principles
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of climate-related disclosure standards and other sustainability/climate legislation
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and preferably advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Strong team player, but also able to work independently
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills and the ability to present at all levels of the business
  • Innovative, energetic and ambitious
