The Senior Marketing Manager will develop and deliver on aligned, integrated marketing plans to achieve growth objectives, enable high-quality future and current client engagement and strengthen the Computershare and Georgeson brand in our EMEA markets, with particular focus on our South African market.

A role you will love

Based in our Johannesburg office, this role will partner closely with the issuer services leadership, relationship management, business development, sales, product, global marketing, and other key stakeholders to establish relationships with future clients and deepen relationships with current clients, client advisors and industry associations.

This role will suit a dynamic and resilient senior marketing manager who is able to deal with change in a fast paced, dynamic and matrixed environment. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute integrated annual marketing plans that tightly align with business priorities on client growth and acquisition and support market structure programs
  • Deliver communications, content and experiences through the broader marketing team resources that increase awareness, builds reputation, generates demand, lifts client engagement, and enables business development
  • Analyses marketing and sales performance, external feedback, and other voice of the customer metrics to optimize marketing programs, tactics, and channels to best deliver on the plan and achieve growth and acquisition targets
  • May deploy account-based and partnership marketing strategies based on business needs
  • Leverage regionals industry, audience, and Computershare knowledge to clearly articulate our value proposition and capabilities throughout messaging, enablement materials, presentations, events, and digital assets.
  • Understand the South African financial and capital markets and key market role players
  • Understand the competitive landscape, industry trends and client needs to lead the development and delivery of messaging, positioning and content across the client lifecycle
  • Ensure productive relationships with marketing staff, supporting resources, and external agency relationships. Marketing staff be content, web / digital, event, creative or other marketing specialties and may be shared resources.
  • Maintain relationships with Business leaders to ensure that marketing activities are proactively managed for the region
  • Develop and update target audience profiles and personas based on market intelligence and research
  • Lead the plan for and execution of key industry tradeshows and conferences to drive brand perception, engage with target audiences and create business development opportunities.
  • Orchestrate new service, solution or product launch planning and execution with cross-functional teams
  • Understand brand management strategies to support the roll out of new messaging for the Computershare brand, business unit and region.
  • Create and edit key marketing communications, including proposals, presentations, and other client-facing content.
  • Manage regional localisations for unique solutions, buyers, competitors and languages.
  • Manage an annual marketing budget and accurately track purchase requisitions, PO's, receipts, and expenses to ensure transparency and deliver regular reports to business, finance, and marketing leadership.
  • Analyse marketing performance data to assess effectiveness and impact and uncover critical marketing and business insights
  • Effectively manage multiple stakeholders and conduct regular plan and performance results reviews with key marketing insights
  • Support the media relations team to enhance Computershare profile in the region via interviews, press releases, articles, and other media initiatives.

What will you bring to the role?

The Senior Regional Marketing Manager will understand digital, SEM, product, content, and influencer marketing with knowledge of key content, digital and social metrics, and attention to detail in analyses, deliverables, and communications. Further project management skills coupled with the ability to organize, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and matrixed environment.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Bachelor's Degree (in Marketing or other relevant backgrounds). A Master's degree would be a plus.
  • You will have over 8 years of financial services or fintech marketing experience, preferably in equities, with an emphasis on client acquisition and retention.
  • Proven B2B and/or B2C marketing experience with a demonstrated understanding of managing all elements of the marketing mix.
  • Strong digital knowledge and skills are required: CRM, web, social media, and search.
  • Significant experience of managing marketing strategies and campaigns within complex business environments.
  • Highly proficient in all things Microsoft Office, especially Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Salesforce, CRMoD, BI, Cvent and Bizzabo is a plus.
  • The role holder will have experience with Eloqua operations, analytics, and dashboards as well as overall email marketing strategies and best practices. Has a deep understanding of building client journey maps and developing plans across the journey / lifecycle; experience developing client references, testimonials, and case studies for external and internal use.
  • You will have advanced communication skills.
  • Adaptable, dynamic and results driven individual contributor, capable of working independently managing multiple projects at once with a strong ability to prioritise.
