Locations: Abbotsford - (Hybrid)

We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Quality Engineer to join the technology team for seven months contract. If you have experience in Test Automation or exposure to key test automation tools, then we want to hear from you!

A role you will love

This role reports to the Quality Engineering Practice Manager and will support the Delivery Teams to ensure they have the best environments in which they can work in. The Senior Quality Engineer will help drive Quality DevOps practices within the technology team and the wider Computershare community, working to manage our builds & pipelines. They will work with the Software Engineers to collaborate on automated testing implementations and review our software to ensure we meet our quality objectives. This role will have a focus on Cloud enablement and IaC (i.e. building in Quality through automation).

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Design and implement automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks
  • Supporting the team through investigation and identification of quality exceptions
  • Adherence to internal standards, policy and good industry practice
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review software and meet quality goals
  • Embrace and support improvements and innovation in technologies/practices within your team that would benefit the business
  • Raise bugs/issues and communicate clearly with the delivery teams

What will you bring to the role?

You have a true passion for qualities in all stages of software development and a true passion for automation, scripting.

Other key skills required include:

  • Experience working as a system or functional tester
  • Extensive knowledge of test strategy and test case design techniques
  • Experience in Test Automation or some exposure to key test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Jest)
  • Some experience with common scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, Powershell)
  • Some experience/exposure to implementing automated non-functional testing (e.g. JMeter, Gatling)
  • Some experience/exposure to API test automation (e.g. PostMan) and mobile test automation (e.g. Appium, Xamarin)
  • Experience working within an Agile environment, participating in Agile ceremonies

Desired Skills:

  • Experience/exposure to implementing automated non-functional testing (e.g. JMeter, Gatling)
  • Experience/exposure to API test automation (e.g. PostMan) and mobile test automation (e.g. Appium, Xamarin)
  • Experience/exposure to CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps
  • Experience/exposure to programming languages (e.g. C#, Java)
  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Systems or related Discipline from an Australian recognised university
  • ISTQB Foundation Certification
