Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Senior Programmer Analyst to join our Computershare Fund Services (CFS) team. Computershare Fund Services is a division within Computershare Issuer Services providing clients proxy solicitation, tabulation and consulting services.

A role you will love

As the Senior Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of high-quality customer service to platform users, ensuring that issues are responded to accurately and within the agreed timeframes. In this role, you will work closely with the greater development team, business units and business analysts to meet strict deadlines for deliverables and application improvements. You will also support the maintenance of our existing systems.
To be successful in this role, a high level of interpersonal skills will be key as well as an ability to leverage your creativity to engineer solutions as new case uses are defined.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to service requests and solving the problem or designing a solution with other team members
  • Supporting business analysts to deliver software architecture improvements
  • Working in the team context to manage and deliver software improvements including verifying that business needs are met
  • Designing and implementing code pipeline upgrades including unit testing and other process improvements
  • Identifying process weaknesses and proposing and implementing quality control improvements

What will you bring to the role?

  • Significant experience developing on the Microsoft platform using ASP.NET in C#
  • 5+ years of experience developing large scale software projects
  • Experience working in an agile environment using iterative release management methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Microsoft technologies: ASP.NET MVC, C# Programming language, Unit tests, MS SQL Server and Power BI reporting
  • Experience with third party integrations using web APIs and web services in .NET
  • Experience managing large volume data sets and developing console applications to process large data feeds in XML/Excel/flatfile formats
  • Working experience in all layers of application development: front end, middle layer and database
  • Strong experience in client-side languages such as JavaScript, jQuery, and/or Angular
  • Experience in modern reporting tools that work well with web applications

Bonus points if you have:

  • A post-secondary degree in a technology discipline
  • Experience in technical writing and spec building
  • Work experience in the financial sector, particularly in the proxy/TA area
  • Experience with Telerik/Kendo integration
  • Experience in software architecture
  • DBA skills

Compensation. The typical base salary range for this role is $105,000-$145,000 USD.
