Location: Zurich, Switzerland (Hybrid)

In this position, you'll be based in the Zurich office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. If you have a remote location recorded in Fusion this arrangement will continue to be honoured if you are successful in your application, provided that:

  • You have a formal accommodation due to a disability, medical or legal reason that enables you to work remotely
  • You're a redeployment candidate who is under notice of redundancy
  • You were moved to a remote contract as your office was closed

A role you will love

The Application Support team is responsible for the support and maintenance of a broad suite of Business, Financial and Operational applications across Computershare's EMEA region. As a Senior Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, supporting day-to-day requirements of our business units/clients, acting as a consultant by providing analysis and recommendations on existing technical solutions, delivering high profile technical projects and improving the overall quality of service provided to our clients.

Some of your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Act as an escalation point in support of the Application Support Team Leader for situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Take ownership for the creation and maintenance of support documentation into knowledge management database
  • Work with development teams to perform system upgrades and new product releases
  • Deliver and support IT projects
  • Escalate risks and issues to the Team Lead/Management as appropriate
  • Ensure all relevant processes, documents, checklists and standards are adhered to in order to maximise quality
  • Take the lead in analysing support enquiries to identify recurring user problems, recommend solutions and identify areas where support services can be improved

What will you bring to the role

As a Senior Application Support Analyst, you will have a good understanding of work routines and procedures used to support and remediate system issues. The role will operate within defined technical and operational procedures, which require proficient knowledge and awareness on how to apply them. Knowledge for the role will be acquired through on the job training and experience.

The role requires attention to detail and some evaluative judgment based on best practice. The role holder is expected to respond to and resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience, which will be guided by clear policy and procedure.

Other key skills required for the role:

  • Ability to break down problems into smaller components, understand underlying issues, can simplify and process complex issues.
  • Strong Analytical/Troubleshooting Skills
  • Good stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong working relationship
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills - A Good Team Player
  • Possess a solid technical foundation
  • Proficient in SQL and Linux

Advantageous additional skills:

  • Java background or experience or similar full stack development experience.
  • Kubernetes containerization experience.
  • Cloud computing experience.
