Senior Plans Specialist

Location: Bristol, Hybrid

The Senior Plans Specialist - Payments role is an integral part of the Plans Operations team, reporting directly to either an Operations Manager or the Head of Asset Services. This position is pivotal in supporting the Operations Manager and the wider business, with a particular emphasis on supporting our most complex payment activities. Additionally, the Senior Plans Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring we protect our business and customers from any potential fraudulent activity as well as providing a white glove service for any high value payments.

This role demands a high level of expertise in Global Payments, excellent customer service and attention to detail.

A role you will love

As a Senior Plan Specialist, you will be instrumental in empowering the success of the team by supporting the team and the wider business with your expertise of Global Payments. This critical function not only supports the team but also ensures that we maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

On a routine basis, the Senior Plan Specialist is tasked with:

  • Protect the business and our customers from potential fraudulent activity.
  • The review all payments over £100K to prevent a rejection and loss to customer.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of outputs through rigorous validation and checks.
  • Wider strategic support of key or complex operational activity within the team.
  • Deputising for the Operations Manager in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management: Perform daily checks to identify potential fraudulent activity.
  • High-Value Transactions: For payments over £100k, verify the payment mandate is valid and will not cause the payment to fail.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Handle a diverse range of complex customer enquiries, ensuring high accuracy and adherence to SLA standards.
  • Maintain Customer Accounts: Follow established processes and guidelines to keep customer accounts updated and accurate.
  • Process Customer Transactions: Conduct transactions with strict adherence to regulatory requirements, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Collaborate for Problem Resolution: Work with colleagues to effectively resolve complex issues.
  • Validate Outputs: Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of outputs through rigorous validation and checks.
  • Data Protection Compliance: Adhere to data protection guidelines to safeguard customer data from errors and unauthorized access.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and recommend effective solutions.
  • Support Team Members: Offer guidance and coaching to less experienced team members.
  • Collaborate Externally: Work with third-party providers, agencies, and customers to resolve complex issues.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert knowledge to update processes, procedures, or training materials.
  • Reporting and Issue Highlighting: Deliver comprehensive reports and highlight key issues to various stakeholders.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Minimum of two years' experience working on EquatePlus
  • Prior of working with Global Payments.
  • Prior experience of our banking platforms (Preferred).
