Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Programmer Analyst to join our Computershare Governance Services (CGS) team.

As one of our Programmer Analysts for the Data Solutions Team, you will conceive, design, and develop reusable tools, applications, and APIs to facilitate the migration and integration of data into Computershare applications.

You will also be part of the go-to team for data related application support; working as a subject matter expert, you will use your product knowledge to support, troubleshoot and triage internally developed applications, whilst managing the incident life cycle. To be successful in this role, you will require strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Working in collaboration with your team and the wider department, you will gain an understanding of business needs, deliver solutions, and provide development and data migration services for all Computershare Governance Services products on a variety of platforms.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Applying expert knowledge of industry standards, policies, and organizational structure so that you can work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across wider business functions
  • Proactively evaluating and resolving technical challenges and blockers to minimize their impact on the team's delivery and/or supported products
  • Researching emerging technologies and practices to propose improvements and innovations that would benefit the business
  • Performing needs analysis to determine data related tools that would most benefit Computershare applications.
  • Designing and delivering reusable code and tools to migrate data
  • Configuration of API based interfacing with external products to Computershare applications
  • Change control, maintenance, configuration, monitoring and capacity planning of specific application set
  • Evaluating, recommending, and implementing improvements to existing activities
  • Performing unit testing on code and assist with system and UAT testing

What will you bring to the role?

  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience programming for data related projects
  • Familiar with DevOps automation tools and technologies
  • Experience in the following:
    • C# .NET
    • SQL Server 2016 and newer
    • Developing with APIs
    • SaaS based support and service environment
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and newer
    • Installing software on IIS (version 7, 7.5, 8.x)
  • Familiar with change control methodology and experience working within a controlled environment
  • Experience in data modelling, transformation, and automation
