A role you will love

This role is responsible for enabling the innovation and technical strategy across assigned people systems, partnering with the CoE heads to refine their strategy and plans. The role holder will manage the delivery of agreed change working with CTS and people team colleagues to ensure projects achieve their aims.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining data integrity in systems by regularly analysing data
  • Working in partnership with CTS to preform assessment and improvements to the HRIS whilst considering any implications
  • Overseeing all system upgrades and system additions in partnership with CTS
  • Ensuring the HRIS system is compliant with local data protection laws
  • Manage the delivery of system enhancements ensuring service delivery to the business is efficient, consistent and of high quality
  • Develop and manage the provision of the People org structure maintenance to support effective planning and decision making
  • Ensure all HRIS users are fully trained and implement changes to improve system efficiency, maintain robust data and protect the integrity and quality of the data
  • Ensure that any enhancement and development of the system is aligned to the People strategic objectives
  • Resolve technical and service delivery issues escalated from the Org and Position Management Consultants and act as an SME
  • Continually review service performance and identify opportunities for improvements including identifying and mitigating risks to People data accuracy
  • Ensure that roles within the system align to the agreed job families and position numbers within the user groups
  • Develop people systems roadmap working collaboratively with CoEs, CTS and RPA etc teams by reviewing gaps in functionality for existing systems, and identifying opportunities to close gaps; Understanding external systems developments and innovations in order to keep up to date with current trends.
  • Partner with project sponsors to define development roadmaps and detailed plans (e.g. technical requirements docs, risk assessments, project plans and UAT plans) which deliver on CoE strategies, and deliver projects in line with agreed milestones and costs.
  • Project manage the business implementation of new systems or major developments from a people team perspective, acting as liaison between CTS and CoE/ People function in the delivery of change. Work with allocated systems analysts to ensure all aspects of the project are delivered in line with the plan.
  • Coach and manage systems analysts on projects and system releases to ensure risks are managed effectively and individuals are developing new skills and expertise.
  • Analyse trends and develop new policies and procedures to ensure optimal effectiveness with the people technologies
  • Oversee governance of the people systems; Create standard documents on how to integrate new application or functionality and ensure systems analysts follow these in all projects or system upgrades.
  • Ensures systems integrity and security through appropriate oversight.
  • Although the role will have no direct line management responsibilities but will be required to provide support and share knowledge where necessary with colleagues.

What will you bring to the role?

You will bring significant proven experience of HR and Payroll systems, within a large and complex organisation. You will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and have a strong ability to multitask whilst prioritising workloads to competing demands, with the ability to work at pace. Excellent analytical skills, with a strong ability to learn new things and adapt quickly to changing technologies and new business requirements.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Advanced IT Skills and preferably Oracle Fusion qualification or experience.
  • Adherence to confidentiality and data protection with an understanding of local regulations
  • High level of technical expertise and broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming
  • Experience in analysing HRIS and People performance metrics
  • Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HRIS processes
  • Be proficient in database management and security, as well as running SQL queries
  • Familiar with HRM software
  • Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing diagnostic tests and audits
  • The ability to work autonomously, self-motivated and able to make decision while engaging wider stakeholders.
  • Experience of driving business change and managing senior stakeholders

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $71K - $100K. This base pay range is specific to Jersey City, NJ, St Paul, MN and Chicago, IL locations and may not be applicable to other locations.
