As part of this transformation, the team implemented a new system in 2023, Oracle Fusion for the majority of the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to complete this transformation, by supporting the final business line to transition to the new global system.

The Payroll Process Lead is a unique role which offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a complex change experience..

A role you will love

The Payroll Process Lead will be responsible for working alongside our business transformation and system implementation partners, as well as Computershare SMEs, to gather and deliver the critical requirements of the CLS UK business and how these can be accommodated within the existing global systems and processes.

The role will focus on aligning to the global best practice approaches already existing within Oracle Fusion HCM and confirming that all requirements have been captured. The role is responsible for change management efforts. As the Payroll Process Owner, you will work closely with the Change Management Team and existing BAU teams to ensure any requirements or process changes can be delivered from an end to end perspective.

The Payroll Process Lead will be responsible for signing off on the process design (with support from the wider team); support system configuration walk throughs; support data migration efforts; lead testing completion for the area of payroll and support stakeholder management activities both within the People Team and with wider stakeholders.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide leadership, direction and oversight for the payroll processes based on best practice and professional experience.

• Accountable for assuring alignment with global processes, with variance only for legal or regulatory reasons.

• Maintenance and prioritisation of the Payroll workstream plan and governance with the support of the People Transformation Project Manager.

• Works collaboratively with other People Transformation team members, Technology and external partners to ensure on-time, high quality project delivery

• Lead and motivate Payroll SMEs through the project lifecycle.

• Ensure that updates to standard operating procedures are processed ahead of go-live.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential

• Experience working within a payroll team

• Strong experience working with third party vendors & consultancy partners

• Excellent organisation, documentation and communication skills

• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills (including upwards management)

• Demonstrated ability to proactively deliver against critical deadlines, working and adapting in ambiguous situations.

• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work as part of a high-performing team.

• Practical experience working within a system implementation project and be involved with key activities such as testing, data migration, cutover etc.

• Proven track record of delivering complex projects in a virtual environment

• Ability to demonstrate examples of resilience
