Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

The Employee Share Plans market in the UK and European Region is a key part of the Global Employee Share Plans business. Computershare is the largest provider in the region, with 350 corporate clients and 2 million employee participant accounts. We have staff based in nearly 14 offices throughout the region, with Bristol, Warsaw, London and Zurich being our primary office locations, supported by staff in Edinburgh, Dublin, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Jersey, and Frankfurt. Our clients are based throughout the region and trade on more than 20 exchanges and are generally global companies looking for Computershare to provide services for their global employee base.

A role you will love

Reporting to the EMEA Regional Director Plan Operations, as the UK Operations Director for Share Plans you will be accountable for delivering service excellence of all operational teams to our clients. If successful you will lead a specialist, diverse and technical share plan operational team, with over 100 employees across UK and other supporting locations. E, You will be an inspiring and motivating leader wwho puts our clients and participants at the heart of what we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a large operational team to deliver for our clients and participants
  • Develop and deliver operational plans to support and achieve the strategic objectives for the EMEA Plans business.
  • Key stakeholder to senior leaders in the EMEA plans business to ensure we are delivering effective, efficient and fully regulatory compliant operational services to our clients and their share plans participants, ensuring service levels are maintained.
  • Ensure the successful delivery across significant and valuable key event activities, covering all Plans Products , whilst controlling all operations risk.
  • Responsible for business improvement initiatives that will continually improve standards of service delivery, business unit efficiency, lower risk, increase competitive position.
  • Deliver initiatives in line with business strategy to deliver required revenue, cost or regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Drive people development and culture to the highest standards.
  • Lead the function through strong financial leadership to ensure financial targets are achieved.
  • Continue to develop the strong relationships with all internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely and maintain strong partnerships with Warsaw and other EMEA operational hubs delivering services to CIS/CISIL clients.
  • Lead the organisation's standards of customer outcomes by giving appropriate direction and establishing robust governance and oversight.
  • Support client engagement internally and externally as well as support presentations to key decision makers at both current and prospective clients.
  • Create and effectively manage governance, systems, and processes/ procedures with appropriate controls in place to minimise risks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with GCO that support Plans Ops in EMEA ensuring excellent delivery.
  • This is a certified role for CIS plc regulated entity, fully responsible to ensure client service delivery is compliant to FCA requirements. In particular focus on CASS breaks and breaches, Consumer Duty, Good Customer Outcomes and other FCA directives. This role is also reportable to the CIS / CISIL board and responsibility to the SMF's

What will you bring to the role?

  • Significant experience in senior operational management role preferably within a financial service/ highly-regulated environment.
  • A desire to work with multi-site teams and bringing them together to deliver for our clients
  • Experience within the Share Plans industry with strong technical knowledge is preferred.
  • Highly organised, able to manage conflicting demands and multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in managing operational risk and mitigating risk effectively
  • Ability to manage operational delivery successfully under considerable pressure and ability to make sound and well informed decisions under these circumstances
  • Expert ability to build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly experienced leader of large multi-site teams, with a proven track record.
  • Stong communication skills adapting to a diverse range of audiences, across all mediums.
  • Excellent financial acumen and budgetary competence, understanding the drivers impacting the business and levers that can be pulled.
  • Client focused and experience in dealings with clients
  • Proven risk awareness, ensuring compliance to procedures and regulatory requirements, development of process to minimise risk.
