This is a hybrid position primarily based in Abbotsford. We have an opportunity for a full-time position for an Operations Risk Management Officer who would be responsible for coordinating activities to maintain a satisfactory compliance status across Operations.

You will also be acting as a liaison point for operations staff on issues relating to compliance and policy.

A role you will love

This role is primarily focused on providing First line of Defence risk support to the assigned Business units. You will be part of a close knit and supportive team and will work together to achieve deliverables.

  • The primary role covers 1 LOD risk contribution and coordination of
  • Coordination and lead pRCSA - Process Risk Control Self Assessments
  • Coordination and lead RCSA Risk Control Self Assessments
  • CSA - Conduct Control Self Assessments
  • Coordination and lead Loss event management
  • Coordination and lead Root Cause Investigations with the assigned Business Units.
  • Coordination and lead BCA Business Criticality Assessments with the assigned Business Units.
  • Support and enhance the business units management of risks.
  • Risk management tasks & projects as required
  • Sanctions Screenings to Regional and Global Sanctions Lists.
  • Secondary functions will include risk support to the assigned business units in regard to:
  • Deceased Estates & Off market Transfers
  • Responding to Govt Bodies requests for information accurately and within SLA
  • Issued Capital reconciliation
  • Drafting of statutory declarations templates as required.
  • Adhoc risk management projects as directed by the Manager

What will you bring to the role?

You will have sound knowledge of the share industries and the three lines of Defence risk management principles. Additionally, a sound legal knowledge of various legislation that encompass AML\CTF, Sanctions, Issued Capital in listed Issuers, and some experience utilising the Archer (ACE) risk management tool would be advantageous.
