The Operational Governance Analyst will report to the Operational Governance Manager. They will be responsible for supporting the Operational Governance function within CIS, to ensure that CIS events and processes are designed and conducted in a CASS and Consumer Duty compliant manner and employees have received the appropriate level of training.

The role involves advising CIS business units on CASS and Conduct Risk/Consumer Duty related matters, and if appropriate, help implement improvements. Tasks that will be undertaken by the Operational Governance Officer; product MI relating to Conduct Risk, Consumer Duty and CASS, review and maintain CASS and Conduct Risk policies, provide business advice on CASS and Conduct Risk matters, maintain the firms CASS RP, work with central training team on relevant training content.

What key accountabilities you will have in the role?

  • Write and maintain CIS CASS and Conduct Risk Policies to ensure they remain up to date and fit for purpose.
  • Assist in providing CIS with advice and guidance on procedural and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with central training team and provide content for relevant e-learning and classroom-based learning.
  • Assist with the co-ordination for any external audits, including the Annual CASS Assurance Audit.
  • Update the CASS Assurance Mapping and ensure it aligns with the firm's operational controls.
  • Produce MI for all relevant committees and forums, including Audit Committee, Risk Committee, CASS Forum and the Conduct Risk & Consumer Duty Forum.
  • Maintain the firms CASS RP via a monthly review.
  • Ensure de-migrations are conducted in a compliant manner, involving the review of notifications and conducting of desktop Due Diligence.

What skills and experience will you bring to the role?

  • Relevant professional qualification (IOC)
  • Have a strong understanding of the FCA rules
  • Experience of CASS and Conduct Compliance
  • Sound knowledge of operational processes within financial services
  • Sound understanding of UK Regulations
  • Ability to prioritise and work well under deadline pressure
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical ability and aptitude for problem solving
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
