This position sits within our Global Tech Support (GTS) department located in Edinburgh, who support our IT systems and employees across our global sites. Working in GTS gives you a great understanding of our wider business as you get to work with multiple different business lines and see the many different transactions and work that Computershare is involved in.

A role you will love
As one of our NOC Analysts, you will work as part of a talented team to ensure that the systems are operating at maximum efficiency, responding to system alerts to fix or escalate where necessary.
You will work with your team to identify any critical incidents and work with the wider team to resolve these within the agreed timelines. A part of your role will be looking at identifying where we can improve processes and highlighting where potential automation improvements can be made.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Logging, categorising, and prioritising global incidents
- Performing routine tasks through Linux and VMS command line systems
- Carry out routine system operations on critical core services, including monitoring batch processes and responding to alerts, escalating as necessary
- Build and maintain good working relationships with all teams across the organisation
- Ensure that all procedures and documentation are kept current, and that any amendments are communicated to the team
- Ensure that all work carried out by the Global Service Centre adheres to internal and external audit requirements, business regulations, and service level agreements
The flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and bank holidays is a must for this position, along with a weekend shift rotation (2 in every 4 weekends). We will require you to work in the office Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm during your initial 4 week induction, your shift pattern will then resume thereafter.
The shift schedule will involve working either 4 or 5 consecutive days, followed by 4 or 5 days off, with shifts alternating between 12-hour day (7am - 7pm) and 12-hour night (7pm - 7am) shifts.
What will you bring to the role?
As you can imagine, we need you to have great attention to detail. Supporting critical systems isn't an easy job, so being able to think on your feet, problem solve and think outside the box are some key skills that you'll need for this role.
Communication is key; you need to be able to build effective working relationships, work closely with your team to keep up to date with changes and bring your ideas to the table.
You'll also need:
- Experience working in a technical environment or a passion for all things tech.
- An understanding of ITIL frameworks is highly advantageous.
- The ability to understand the importance of processes and documentation.
- An inquisitive mind: we're always looking for ways to improve and who better to learn from than the people doing the role
