Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid)

This role undertakes the Management of our client's AGMs and Special Meetings in the SAF Registry Business. The Issuer Operations Meetings team's prime responsibility is managing the Annual and Special Meetings that a client needs to hold as part of the regulatory requirements of a PLC or Limited Company.

A role you will love

This role is responsible for managing a team of Event Specialist and Coordinators who deliver Meetings on behalf of the SAF Issuer Services business. Overseeing the Management of the event with responsibility for the timely and accurate delivery of all aspects of the Meeting including attendance at the Meeting where required and ensuring we maintain our legal and regulatory compliance. Annually, in excess of 250 meetings are held in SAF.

What key accountabilities you will have in the role?

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define & agree requirements and timetables.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for complex Meetings and meeting all client specific requirements.
  • Assigning Meetings to a team of Event Specialists and Coordinators.
  • Undertake all staff reporting responsibilities for a team of Event Specialists and Coordinators.
  • Educate colleagues and Issuers as SME for Meetings through timely briefings, project plans, updates to COSMOS Company and provision of suitable business rules and project guidelines to colleagues.
  • Liaise with and provide guidance and support to external parties including, the client, issuers, banks, lawyers and other market advisors on defining the project requirements and scope, agreeing the timetable for the implementation of changes and defining communication requirements
  • Act as a point of reference for Meeting colleagues and internal stakeholders providing knowledge sharing and support as necessary.
  • Manage confidentiality of projects
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders who will be required to support each Meeting
  • Continuously improve process and procedures.
  • Responsibility for maintaining and amending Procedures

What skills and experience will you bring to the role?

  • Business degree (Advantageous)
  • We're looking for a well experienced customer service professional, ideally from a similar background or within Financial Services.
  • Share registry experience and knowledge of process and procedure
  • Experienced at working with internal and external customers.
  • Good understanding and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • A professional approach to client facing and consultation
  • Experience in Project Management and Event Coordination
  • Ability to build consensus among stakeholders as to best solution
  • Ability to lead and contribute in a dynamic team-based environment
  • Ability to work autonomously, navigating through complexity and ambiguity
  • Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices
  • Expert at delivering results and service excellence
  • Expert communicator with the ability to collaborate, and influence at all levels
