JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Edinburgh

In this position, you'll be based in the Edinburgh office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. Find out more about our flexible work culture at computershare.com/flex.

  • Apply analysis techniques and facilitate collaborative sessions to gather requirements from key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with third-party products to understand their capabilities and optimise their use to meet business needs.
  • Utilise agile practices to stay responsive to business needs and deliver value incrementally, finding innovative solutions to problems and shaping delivery.
  • Craft high-quality, clear requirements to enable the development team to estimate, plan, and implement changes.
  • Develop expertise in your business line, domain and associated applications.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences to share knowledge, convey complex ideas, provide updates, influence, challenge, and incorporate feedback.
  • Deliver on commitments as part of a cross-functional team, seeking help when needed and supporting teammates..

What will you bring to the role?

You will demonstrate previous experience as a Business Analyst and have a clear passion for the role.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct requirement engineering and achieve results with some guidance.
  • Detail-oriented, skilled in identifying root causes, and taking a rigorous approach to problem-solving.
  • Skilled in liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements, apply system design concepts, propose solutions, and translate these for the development team.
  • Experienced in Agile software development, thriving in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, and promoting the continuous improvement of practices.
  • Skilled in negotiating and constructively challenging ideas.
  • Experienced in working with third-party products, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Excellent collaborator and communicator, building strong working relationships, influencing others, effectively challenging, and responding to challenges, and sharing information and ideas.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Curious and committed to continuous learning, adept at investigating, interpreting, and grasping new concepts.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in recommending innovative solutions.
  • Knowledgeable or experienced in reviewing programming languages and technologies, including SQL, NoSQL, and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledgeable or experienced with specific tooling, including Azure Boards and Backlogs, Miro, M365, WinForms, and Visual Studio.
