Location: Bristol or Edinburgh (Hybrid)

If you are a dynamic and experienced Portfolio Project Manager with experience of managing a variety of change initiatives, this will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to show your talents in our global People Team.
A role you will love
The HR Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of several projects, including the management of project managers and resources to ensure that all deliverables within the scope of the portfolio are delivered in line with the business plans and priorities. You will ensure that there is clear, complete and accurate documentation that covers all the relevant deliverables defined in the project's scope (including project plans, RAID logs and regular project status reports).
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of People Team projects consisting of large and strategic change initiatives
- Deliver strong project management governance and change frameworks across the portfolio to ensure all projects are managed using best practice models.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of effective communication, collaboration, and accountability. Collaborate with stakeholders to determine scope and align project direction to meet defined business requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment and support for HR initiatives.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in project execution and develop and implement mitigation strategies to address them. Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
What will you bring to the role?
- Project Management: Strong ability to manage multiple HR projects simultaneously, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools is essential.
- Leadership: Excellent leadership skills to guide and motivate project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication. Ability to provide clear direction and support to team members.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, team members, and external partners. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret HR data and metrics, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Ability to use data to drive continuous improvement in HR processes and practices.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills to identify potential risks and challenges in project execution and develop mitigation strategies. Ability to think critically and creatively to find solutions.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive work environment.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, and to stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
