You'll make expert, data-driven decisions to craft long-term health and safety strategies that align with CPU's vision, regulatory needs, and industry best practices. By harnessing insights and leveraging global standards, you'll identify emerging risks and implement forward-thinking solutions to safeguard our teams.

Through ongoing education, training, and meaningful engagement, you'll foster a culture where safety is ingrained in everything we do-reaching all employees, no matter their role or location.

You'll own and champion the development of CPU's global Health & Safety policies, creating a strong foundation for compliance and best practices. You'll also establish and lead the cadence of our Global H&S Review Committee, providing executive leadership with key metrics and developments to drive informed decisions.

In addition, you'll guide and support Regional H&S Committees to ensure they develop, maintain, and continuously improve their tailored Regional H&S Management Plans, keeping safety a top priority in every region.

A role you will love

As part of our dynamic Facilities team, we're responsible for managing the property, facilities, and health & safety across all UCI premises, ensuring the well-being of our colleagues, contractors, third-party suppliers, and clients alike.

Key accountabilities:

• As a strategic leader in health and safety, promote a culture of safety, and design and implement systems to continuously improve health and safety standards in CPU.

• Developing long-term health and safety strategies that align with the CPU's goals and regulatory requirements. Leverage data and industry best practices to identify potential risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.

• Develop and maintain global H&S portal

• Develop and maintain online training

• Foster a culture of safety through continuous education, training, and engagement with employees at all levels through various relevant communication channels.

• Create, maintain and promote CPU's global Health & Safety policies and procedures. Establish the structure and candence of Global H&S Review Committee meeting to inform group executive oversight of key H&S metrics and developments.

• Lead and support Regional H&S Committees to ensure they create and maintain Regional H&S Management Plans together with their updates and continuous improvement.

• Build trusted relationships with all key stakeholders, anticipate & interpret business needs

• Work with key stakeholders in the formation of Regional H&S Committees

• Develop and maintain a global roll out plan for establishing Regional H&S management plans. Identify a gap analysis for each region outlining necessary actions for establishing Regional H&S management plans.

• Assist and support regions to create and maintain their Regional H&S management plans

• Develop and maintain reports of key H&S metrics for the Global H&S Review Committee. Coordinate with key stakeholders for providing input into such reports.

• Coordinate and chair quarterly review meetings with Regional H&S Committees

• Develop technologies to support the Regional H&S Management Plans

What will you bring to the role?

Essential:

• Diploma or Post Graduate level of attainment from the UK National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health or other similar global designations

• Global Industry expert in UK H&S safety practices and systems primarily but able to implement globally.

• Experience in putting occupational health and safety into practice for large global firms

• Expert knowledge of industry and strategic development of H&S practices and systems.
