The CTO group is responsible for planning, designing, building and running technology services. The CTO teams span architecture, infrastructure, service operations, compliance, and technical support. We ensure that colleagues around the world have access to the technology and agreed service levels that they need to take care of their clients and their clients' shareholders, employees, and customers.

A role you will love

The role provides leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required to develop Computershare's technical architecture. They create deliverables that help develop target state guidance and guardrails for our wider technology teams, evolving the technology assets across our organisation to enable the business strategy and business outcomes.

Working in the new Global Architecture team the role works closely with our regional Operations teams, CTO Engineering teams, Manufacture teams and Security functions to provide guidance and direction to the Business Line CIOs and the wider Computershare Design Community.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working with our business lines, product teams and Technology function (CTS) stakeholders to derive the technology future state and roadmaps.
  • Own the domain architecture guard-rails, principles and patterns that guide the wider CTS organisation.
  • Managing stakeholders' expectations and perceptions.
  • Understanding technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies.
  • Actively contribute to owning and designing governance, assurance, standards and policy that form part of the architectural governance process with a view to improving design quality.
  • Lead the Operations Support domain and channel for the Computershare Design Community, providing guidance, facilitating collaboration and clear communication across the organisation.
  • Definition of high-level transition plans to address the gaps between current and future state in line with IT budgeting and planning processes.

What will you bring to the role?

The Enterprise Architect is accountable for proactively and holistically leading and supporting EA activities that create deliverables that guide the direction and development of our Operational support, workflow and automation applications.

Technologies and capabilities will include OSS (Operations Support systems) Service Now, monitoring, event management, asset management, Blue Prism and other applications which support the Operations function.

Required Experience:

  • Significant experience in an Enterprise Architect role in a wider Architecture team.
  • Significant experience in designing and implementation of Operational support systems to support an IT operations function (Examples IPC (Incident problem change), Service management, automation, monitoring).
  • Demonstratable experience in the implementation of Enterprise Architecture Artefacts, process, governance and data modelling.
  • Ability to present technical solution design options and justification to all levels of the organization, as well as manage expectations when balancing solution alternatives against business constraints and technological realities.
  • Experience working with modern methodologies, Hybrid Cloud, Public Cloud, on-prem.
  • Demonstratable experience in the implementation of automation software and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services, Share Registry/Transfer Agency, Employee Share Plan or and markets is highly regarded.
