Operating in the People Experience Hub within Computershare's global people team, as Employee Relations Manager (ER Manager) you will work across all regions and business lines supporting business change activity. The role holder will therefore be required to work across multiple business units within the scope of their jurisdiction, each of which will have specific requirements from an Employee Relations perspective.

A role you will love

As the ER Manager for Change you will be accountable for supporting and providing expertise to people change programmes. You will partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to influence and coach on best practice across UK and where required global restructuring projects. You will support the business and business partnering team, developing a set of consistent templates, processes and practices in relation to ER change programme. Global restructuring projects will involve partnering internal stakeholders across multiple locations and jurisdictions to manage change effectively and minimise risks. Although this role is largely focused on business change you will also support the case management team on complex cases and policy development as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a member of the ER Business Change Team you will support the implementation of business change in line with Computershare processes and practices.
  • You will lead the planning and implementation of change projects, working with other members of the ER function, and People Team both in the UK and globally.
  • You will work with key managers in the Business to provide consultancy and solution focused advice on employment legislation, policy related matters and process requirements for any ad hoc business initiatives such as business restructuring, TUPE etc.

You will work collaboratively with HR business partners, local ER teams and people leaders to ensure people changes are managed effectively and local processes including individual and collective consultation are followed in line with local legislation.

  • Contribute to related People Team and business orientated projects, providing ER subject matter expertise.
  • Support the development of our People Policies providing advice to ensure regulatory/ legal compliance.
  • Provide jurisdiction specific legal/regulatory update to global policies where local variance is required for regional compliance.
  • Work with the ER policy team to ensure that CPU policies are supported by manager guides and toolkits as well as training to ensure that managers are aware of their obligations particularly when undertaking business change.
  • Provide coaching and technical oversight to the Employee Relations case consultants and senior consultants where necessary.
  • Coach and educate the wider People Function to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and best practice.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Relevant professional HR qualification / r significant ER change management/ experience.
  • Experienced HR Generalist or ER change specialist.
  • Ability to understand, interpret HR policies, processes and procedures and use these to advise the business on an effective change approach.
  • Experience of coaching and developing change capability.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment law / regulatory impacts with background of implementation with an emphasis on restructuring, TUPE.
  • Experience of working within a global structure, and considering multiple jurisdictions.
  • Effective Communications - Proficiency Level Advanced.
  • Knowledge of Organisation - Proficiency Level Advanced.
  • Relationship Management - Proficiency Level Advanced.
  • Consulting - Proficiency Level Advanced.
  • Planning and Development - Proficiency Level Advanced.
  • People Policies, Standards and Procedures - Proficiency Level Expert.
