A role you will love

As one of our Digital Product Owners, you will be the voice of our customer within our squads and will be responsible for ensuring the product features and functionality are aligned to the customer's needs to deliver maximum value and results, elevating our digital journey and directly influencing our digital strategy.

You will be part of a digital transformation programme that will deliver industry leading products and features, including:

  • Digitising Operations and Call Centre transactions (e.g., onboarding, servicing, sales, transfers)
  • Building state of the art mobile applications for customers
  • Development of B2C mobile and browser channels in Financial Services
  • Development and implementation of B2B Client applications such as investor portals, applications, or new channels in Financial Services

Your mission will be to work with the Digital Value Stream Delivery and Transformation Lead to translate business objectives and user needs into a strategic product roadmap, ensuring it aligns with our overarching transformation goals. You'll also prioritize product features and enhancements, weighing customer feedback, business impact, and strategic importance to deliver a product that drives our digital evolution forward.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Digital Value Stream Delivery and Transformation Lead to break down the digital strategy vision into detailed product roadmaps with clear requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the development team and business stakeholders to gather and document detailed product requirements, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, testers, and marketers from initial concept through to launch and post-launch iterations, to ensure successful product delivery on time that meets high quality standards.
  • Advocate for the end-user experience, ensuring that the product meets or exceeds customer expectations while collaborating with UX/UI designer to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces that are thoroughly tested with QA teams before release.

What will you bring to the role?

As you've probably gathered by now, we are looking for an innovative and detail-oriented person with a real passion for Digital Product Ownership. We are looking for a natural mentor and leader, who has the ability to build and manage excellent relationships with all of our stakeholders and technology teams to deliver exceptional products.

With this role being global and a key part of our Digital Transformation, we are looking for someone with product ownership experience in complex digital transformation with a background in financial services, banking, consulting, asset management, brokering, issuer services, customer service and/or contact centres.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • A team player who works successfully with the delivery squads and wider teams to achieve the goals and objectives of the digital transformation.
  • Knowledge & experience in modern ways of working including Agile requirements techniques including Personas, Story Mapping, Product Roadmaps, Backlog Management, etc.
  • Significant domain knowledge and the ability to share knowledge of industry best practices and apply technical experience to resolve problems as well as analyse complex material/data and organise this in presentable formats.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software, such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms. Familiarity with software development processes and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Angular, etc.).
  • Understanding of modern cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), AI and DevOps practices.
  • Certification as a Product Owner or equivalent is desirable.
  • Extensive experience of liaising with stakeholders of all levels to understand their needs, and is a strong communicator and facilitator with strong negotiation skills to support the brokering of agreements.
