Flexibility to work between the hours of 7am - 10pm, with 80% of your shifts being core UK business hours. There will be a requirement once a month to work the 2-10pm shift.

A role you will love
As a Dealer, you will be responsible for placing trades with brokers via telephone, e-mail and electronic means. All trades must be dealt in accordance with strict FCA regulations so attention to detail and the ability to maintain a consistently high standard of work is essential.
Some of the key responsibilities:
- Place trade orders with brokers/market makers via a variety of methods
- Ensure timely and best execution is achieved for all trades placed.
- Calculating and requesting currency conversions with the corporate Treasury team.
- Liaise with internal business units regarding the requirements and completion of trades.
- Investigate and resolve any trading discrepancies.
- Monitoring of open orders.
- Use market data sources (for example Fidessa or Pro-Quote) to determine how orders should be traded.
As part of the role, we also require you to attain passes in 3 exams that make up the Investment Operations Certificate qualification of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
What will you bring to the role?
We are looking for someone, who is eager, passionate and has a willingness to learn & grow. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, as well as knowledge of regulations as they pertain to share dealing, including but not limited to COBS, CASS, and SYSC.
Some other key skills that you'll have:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a polite and professional telephone manner.
- Good level of competence with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to prioritise workloads, meet rigid deadlines and adhere to FCA regulations.
- Flexibility in working hours due to coverage of European and US market hours
- Reliability, flexibility and a positive approach to a rapidly changing, busy and expanding environment and a willingness to contribute to the department in achieving its targets.
