The Sr. Benefits Analyst is responsible for various aspects of program management related to retirement, health and insurance and the employee leave lifecycle, including the Compass’ Leave of Absence and Disability Programs along with related Federal and State programs and Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) claims. The Sr. Benefits Analyst will also support the day to day management of other programs as assigned. The Sr. Benefits Analyst will partner with the Manager of Benefits, People & Culture, Payroll, Legal teams and third party vendors and report to the Head of Benefits.

At Compass You Will:

  • Manage the overall compliant delivery of company paid leave and disability programs along with applicable federal, state and local leave programs and corresponding stakeholders (e.g., The Hartford, Payroll, Touchcare)
  • Educate employees and other key internal stakeholders (e.g., manager, P&C team) on benefit processes, such as navigating the leaves process or making changes to benefit elections for example. Serve as the internal Single Point of Contact for Compass leave administration service delivery.
  • Support the Manager of Benefits with routine processes of retirement and health and welfare programs, as assigned
  • Serve as a Tier 2 escalation for Tier 1 (e.g., internal shared services and other routine vendor contacts) for employee and manager escalations. Effectively manage escalation to the Manager of Benefits and Head of Benefits as needed.
  • Document related processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, including working closely with the P&C Shared Services team on benefit related work
  • Work with the Manager of Benefits to create and maintain vendor and other benefits performance dashboards based on qualitative and quantitative data points to share with Head of Benefits and other stakeholders as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience related to U.S. benefits such as retirement and health and welfare benefits (e.g.,medical, dental, vision, life), including some experience involving leave and disability administration and related federal, state and local leave laws
  • Ability to efficiently manage vendors and workflows through a variety of systems (e.g., Workday, Payroll, The Hartford) and build/maintain workflow reference materials for stakeholder
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain proficient processes with multiple stakeholders and attention to detail
  • Communicates in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbal
  • Capable of working as an independent contributor within a fast pace environment
  • Experience with instructing Payroll regarding leave of absence related pay adjustments (e.g., state specific offset payments to company provided salary continuation) is a plus

Compensation: The salary pay range for this position is $88,000 - $97,500 however, the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
