The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description
Our Midwest Team is hiring a Field Operations Consultant and acts as chief operating leader to the aligned Regional General Manager and regional leadership team. Works across all lines of business, organizes and operationalizes distribution and agency initiatives and strategies within region and states. Develops and deploys region tactics to achieve critical operational objectives and maximize profitability. Analyzes key performance indicators across carriers and the business to optimize profitability, identify opportunities and inform region strategies. Serves as a primary liaison for operations groups to drive consistency in agency management practices.

Works with various internal and external national and regional groups to ensure agency alignment with Comparion's key business objectives and financial goals.

Serves as the point person for the regional leadership team on critical operational initiatives including real estate analytics and decision making, expenses, agent engagement.

Supports the regional leadership team in the development of region and state strategies, including revenue maximization, opportunity identification, tactical planning, deployment and results monitoring.

Synthesizes multiple data resources and reports, and analyzes business results and trends to gain a holistic picture of business operations and make tactical and strategic proactive recommendations, assessments, and plans to improve.

Owns operational, strategic, analytical support to drive retention, profitability for the region. Assess and analyzes drivers of regional profitability and creates plans to drive regional agency and carrier profitability and effective carrier use in the region. Partners with Agency Distribution Solutions on national carrier profitability initiatives.

Supports regional leadership in conducting and organizing business reviews with business expectations on agency selection, key discussion points, and action plans. Attends agency reviews, summarizes the next steps and monitors execution.

Manage projects with region-wide impact and supports operationalization of key agency initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required; Masters preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the insurance industry, including regular interaction with agents and brokers.
  • Strong knowledge of agency management strategies and project management principles and concepts, with proven ability to apply to complex, function-wide project and implement business process changes.
  • Displays strong research, problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Advanced business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions.
  • Advanced influencing, relationship management & presentation skills.
  • Highly skilled at supporting change and imparting value within an organization. Advanced knowledge of available data sources, strengths and shortcomings.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and strong knowledge of database software.
  • Solid knowledge of Salesforce or customer relationship management systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Proven experience analyzing and presenting results of analysis to executive audiences and frontline users of data.
