We're seeking a dynamic Senior Project Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in project planning, execution, and collaboration.Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for small to mid-size scale projects. Ensure adherence to established timelines and financial parameters, making adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
- Team Guidance: Directly lead and mentor designated Design Engineers working on seating projects, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Provide technical guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and Certification teams throughout the project lifecycle. From initial concept through to final product delivery and beyond, contribute to business development initiatives and sustainment efforts.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in engineering principles, particularly in mechanical or aerospace engineering. Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies and tools.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving project milestones and objectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving Ability: Capable of identifying challenges early, proposing effective solutions, and implementing corrective actions to ensure project success.
- Organizational Acumen: Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining project scope, schedule, and budget while adapting to changing priorities and requirements.

- Directs Engineering activities, execute project against established schedule, support customer meetings, edit Engineering BOMs, author service documents, etc.
- Performs critical path analysis and prepares and implements work-around plans to ensure the successful completion of projects. Including performing proper risk management and mitigation.
- Conducts meetings, consolidates, and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s).
- Identifies and reacts to project problems and recommends solutions, such as reallocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Including monitoring and assessing project issues. Then developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines as needed.
- Reviews project and budget status, manages schedules and prepares reports.
- Establishes seating design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, validation, verification, and test.
- Provide seating design, build, assembly, and process solutions to resolve manufacturing and in-field problems.
- Direct building of prototypes and development hardware, including writing statements of work. Support on-going builds and product modifications depending on project and/or business needs.
- Performs various engineering activities that cannot be attributed to a defined discipline including, but not limited to continuous improvement initiatives.
- 10-15% travel required, based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:Qualifications we prefer:
- Prior experience in the design of mechanical systems for commercial aircraft seating products, especially in an aftermarket capacity.
- Experience with commercial seating applications in a design engineering or project engineering capacity.
- Familiarity with FAA requirements a plus.
