In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations by developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, designing fixtures, and working collaboratively across functions to resolve issues that arise. As a subject matter expert, you'll also serve as a valuable resource for training on the manufacturing floor. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring product quality, improving operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvements to meet established standards.In addition to technical proficiency, this role demands a strong ability to manage production workflows, analyze performance data, and identify solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency. You will be responsible for planning assembly layouts, creating specifications for tools and equipment, and utilizing statistical process control techniques to ensure product excellence. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our operations, as you work closely with engineering teams to optimize designs and processes that meet both customer and regulatory requirements. - Prepares quality related items and documentation to ensure that established quality standards are met
- Manages the sequencing of work such, as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources
- Compiles information on cell performance and productivity so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed
- Research, review and test techniques for efficiency and planning
- Help identify operational issues by studying functional and performance systems
- Discipline Description Designs and plans layout for assembly and materials handling
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions
- Plans sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques
- Provides guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
- Advanced Manufacturing Techniques: Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge manufacturing processes and equipment, enhancing your ability to develop and optimize production systems that meet rigorous quality and regulatory standards
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to tackle complex challenges and find innovative solutions that directly impact production efficiency and product performance
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Learn to analyze performance data and use statistical process control techniques to identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and improve manufacturing outcomes
- Tool and Fixture Design: Develop expertise in designing and creating custom manufacturing fixtures, tools, and equipment that improve operational efficiency and ensure the highest levels of product quality
- Leadership and Mentorship: Strengthen your leadership skills by training and mentoring others on the manufacturing floor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement while helping others grow in their careers
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have previous experience working within a FAA part 145 repair station
- Must be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and confidence in communicating with others to understand problems and work towards solutions
- Must be able to demonstrate good customer service to both technical and non-technical individuals
