- Collaborate to build commercial aircraft seats and furniture, ensuring high-quality and functional outcomes in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks, contributing practical assistance to streamline project processes.
- Confer with engineers on the details and implications of test article and seat builds, procedures, and results, fostering improved communication and outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency with a variety of hand tools to efficiently build and modify seat components with a high-level attention to details.
- Apply mechanical and manufacturing concepts to ensure precision and functionality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with excellent written and oral skills, thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Utilize basic to moderate computer skills to support project documentation and daily operations.
- Leverage working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel to manage data and maintain organized project records.
- Interpret engineering drawings with accuracy, ensuring adherence to design specifications and technical requirements.
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace or automotive, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Proven expertise in testing and quality assurance environments, with a strong focus on delivering reliable and high-performance results.
- Highly organized with strong judgment, capable of multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D modeling software, applying technical skills to support design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of metal machining and fabrication equipment, ensuring precision and quality in production operations.
