OnsiteAre you big into Crypto? We're not talking currency. Our Crypto team in the Secure Mission Solutions Engineering department creates cutting-edge embedded cryptographic capabilities for U.S. military communications products. We regularly work with the NSA to ensure our military communications are secure and trustworthy.Our team works alongside multiple hardware, FPGA, and software teams to seamlessly embed our advanced technology into several different products. All with the goal of keeping our warfighters safe and secure and bringing them home. This team gets to work on a wide variety of innovative new and existing products-not your typical repetitive workload!While a crypto background is helpful, you do not need one for this role. Solid knowledge of software development practices and processes will suffice. This team will provide the tools and training to grow your skills & expertise in cybersecurity and algorithms and how they play a role in all our products.Our nation's security depends on the sacrifice of the men and women who defend our country. To do this effectively, they need the technology that keeps them a step ahead of their adversaries. This means providing high-capability, reliable equipment to our service personnel, fielded as quickly as possible. - You will lead a cross-functional team of software engineers in collaboration with multiple RTX teams to develop innovative, mission-critical products that penetrate new markets.
- You will oversee initiatives focused on quantum-resistant encryption algorithms, positioning the team at the cutting edge of cybersecurity.
- You will cultivate a collaborative team culture that ensures predictable program performance, consistently meeting both business and customer commitments.

- You will develop leadership skills in emerging technologies, driving innovation within Collins Aerospace and the broader aerospace industry.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience leading engineering teams through project leadership roles or direct supervision.
- Proficiency in software development and integration, particularly with complex multi-threaded embedded C and C++ codebases.
- Familiarity with standard full-lifecycle software development practices and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of requirements capture, design formulation, algorithm development, and implementation.
- Experience creating documentation and artifacts to support the certification of cryptographic systems and components.
- Understanding of Information Assurance and cybersecurity industry standards and best practices.

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.
