OnsiteWe are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for our Engine Control Systems unit in Windsor Locks, CT. In this role, you'll report to the Systems Integration Manager and play a key role in supporting our programs. You'll be involved in the integration of advanced engine control system components, including FADEC, sensors, actuators, and fuel systems.What You will do
- Coordinate system-level engine requirements and verification planning with multi-disciplinary teams within Collins and with our customer, Pratt & Whitney (PW). The focus will be on Electrical and Electronic products and subsystems.
- Review data using PW Unigraph, support investigations, isolate issues to the component level, and address them with the responsible Integrated Project Team (IPT).
- Design and develop Jet Engine and Flight Control Systems for Commercial and/or Military engine programs. This includes long-term responsibilities within the systems integration team such as:

- Architecture Development
- Control system analysis to support requirements development and verification
- Requirements Management and Allocation
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience in engine and aircraft system design.
- Strong communication skills with proven effectiveness.
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and sensing components and subsystems.
- Familiarity with Collins and Pratt & Whitney tools, design, and qualification processes.
- Proficiency with DOORS, Matlab, Dymola (or similar physics-based modeling applications), and Cameo Systems Modeler (or similar SYSML applications).
- Experience in Engine Control Systems.
- Skilled in Model-Based Design tools and practices.
- Knowledge in Fuel and Actuation Systems.
- Demonstrated experience with hardware integration.
- Experience with System Dynamic Modeling, System Verification, and Validation.
