This role will support sensitive and high-pace projects across the legal teams that support our Security, Privacy, Financial Crimes, Strategic Response, and international regulatory work. As such, it will be front and center on advising Coinbase stakeholders on critical, novel legal issues around the globe. This role requires both the ability to provide legal counsel and manage/lead large, complicated projects that span cross-functional teams both inside and outside
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- You will proactively assess and define potential risks, and identify recommendations in coordination with cross-functional subject matter experts on high-priority cross-functional matters.
- You will drive these cross-functional projects and be responsible for ensuring effective execution.
- You will quickly learn and synthesize information from a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to frame decisions and communicate clear updates and recommendations to company leadership on complex urgent and sensitive projects.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- Experience providing legal counsel on complicated regulatory investigations/responses/projects.
- Experience in cross-functional project management in a fast-paced environment
- Experience leading internal investigations and/or regulatory responsesIdeal candidates will have demonstrated experience communicating and partnering at all levels of an organization to coordinate between multiple internal stakeholders and balance differing opinions and perspectives
- Must be flexible, able to multitask, detail-oriented, and enjoy fast paced and high-intensity work
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Exceptional legal writing abilities and skilled at synthesizing the perspectives of various stakeholders
- Excellent judgment and analytic rigor
- Ability to quickly learn and synthesize information from a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to help frame decisions and communicate clear updates and recommendations to company leadership on complex urgent projects.
- Experience communicating and partnering at all levels of an organization to coordinate between multiple internal stakeholders and balance differing opinions and perspectives with a real attention to detail.
- Ability to proactively assess potential risks and identify recommendations in coordination with cross-functional subject matter experts to drive high priority cross-functional implementation.
- Experience in cross-functional project management in a fast-paced environment.
