This is a 12-week internship during summer 2025 located in Dublin, Ireland.
The Institutional Operations Solutions (IOS) team sits within Finance Operations and is responsible for managing risk and providing operational solutions to the institutional business at Coinbase. Within the IOS team, teams range from Treasury to Trade Execution Services to Data Analytics. Teams within IOS interact with many stakeholders within the institutional business to create solutions and strive to develop efficient processes and systems to facilitate the institutional business at scale. In addition to interacting with internal stakeholder teams, team members in IOS directly face off with institutional clients and provide best in class client service.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Work with different IOS teams through day-to-day responsibilities, while learning their processes and role in the firm
- Identify and manage operational risk and understand compliance and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to for improvement in existing processes and risk management capabilities
- Partner with stakeholders, including Product and Engineering to build best in class technology solutions
- Work with fellow interns on a group project to solve a real world problem, and present solution to leadership team
- Analyze data sets and make recommendations based on data and sound analysis
- Network across the entire Coinbase team
- Develop a broad understanding of the Coinbase institutional business

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work with a team and engage stakeholders
- Quick, inquisitive learner and always ready to adapt and learn something new
- Self-starter who can run with projects to completion
- Problem solving skills with ability to see second order effects and streamline processes accordingly
- Passion for crypto and mission focused
Nice to haves:
- Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in business, management, finance, or accounting or a related discipline.
- SQL
- Knowledge of finance/banking concepts
- Crypto knowledge
