Coinbase Ireland is looking for an accomplished AML professional, experienced in payments and technology, reporting to the Head of AML/CTF Compliance in Ireland. The role covers three legal entities in Ireland, one regulated E-Money Institution and two Virtual Asset Service Providers (“VASPs”). You’ll work closely with various functional key partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in Ireland and other international jurisdictions. There is a heavy focus on AML-related matters and related reporting.
What you’ll be doing:
- AML/CTF focused;
- Developing and implementing a risk assessment framework;
- Managing compliance policies on behalf of the team;
- Developing and implementing the AML/CTF programme to ensure the firm/s operate/s in accordance with Irish and international regulatory requirements;
- Monitoring compliance with the firm’s AML/CFT obligations;
- Reviewing High Risk clients;
- Reviewing Suspicious Transaction Reports;
- Remain up to date on regulations, law and guidance related to the company and update policies accordingly.
What we look for in you:
- AML/CTF SME; experience working in AML/Sanctions Compliance programme(s)
- Knowledge of Irish compliance and regulatory matters, specifically the Criminal Justice Act 2010, as amended
- Capacity to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and ensuring effective time management
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced remote environment
- Keen interest in digital assets
- 4+ years prior experience in AML Compliance roles
Nice to haves:
- Professional Compliance qualification and membership of a recognized professional body would be advantageous, but not a prerequisite
