Base is built on Optimism’s open-source OP Stack. We are joining as the second Core Dev team working on the OP Stack to ensure it’s a public good available to everyone; and are contributing a portion of sequencer revenue to funding public goods.
Base is looking for a Based Argentina Lead who will help us build the onchain future by growing Base’s global footprint. You’ll be responsible for driving Base’s adoption in Argentina. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Be the primary ambassador for Base in the country
- Incubate and grow the local Base community, both physically and online
- Design and execute developer focussed GTM strategies (such as hackathons and workshops)
- Support start-ups building on Base by providing mentorship, connections and curating grant funding
- Run scrappy growth initiatives to onboard developers and users
- Identify app, accelerator, VC, and distribution partnership opportunities
- Recruit and manage community members to scale needs
- Share market intel, community and product feedback with the wider Base team
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- Operational experience in a crypto startup (founder, early employee, community/growth head)
- Experience creating and scaling a community-driven project
- Deep connectivity in / understanding of your local crypto, startup and developer market
- A relentless, solutions-oriented self-starter
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- An passion for Base and building a global onchain economy
