The Recycling Technician operates and provides basic maintenance for recycling and associated equipment. This role needs to perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure the achievement of Quality, Service and Cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements under CCR Quality System. Participate in project assignments, as necessary. Keep appropriate records documenting compliance to permit requirements.
Schedule:
Night Shift - 7:00PM - 7:30AM on a 2-2-3 schedule.
What You'll Do for Us
- Operate recycling and associated equipment
- Operate compactor equipment used in recycling for plastics, paper, cardboard, and related materials
- Manage waste and recycling processing in an environmentally responsible manner
- Resolve minor equipment technical issues
- Maintain equipment and area cleanliness to ensure compliance with all GMP standards.
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Troubleshoot and correct problems during equipment operation.
- Comply with all standard safety practices, Company rules, and policies.
- Able to identify deficiencies within area of responsibility and implement or recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Perform support activities for emergency response and recycling
- Help in segregation of waste and recycling materials in production and compactor areas
- Obtain forklift license and genie boom operator certification within certification period
- Demonstrate leadership and responsibility
- Order supplies and chemicals.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Forklift operator certification a plus (will be required to obtain forklift license and genie boom operator certification within certification period)
- Ability to work on projects independently and under minimal supervision
- Physical agility including climbing, bending, kneeling, twisting, and lifting minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand instructions given in English
- Ability to read and understand equipment operations manuals, basic electrical and mechanical drawings, and to perform minor maintenance tasks (after training) as related to recycling equipment
- Ability to work eight-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts, or other work schedules as determined by business need, including overtime as required
- Ability to participate in an 'on-call' schedule
- Must be certified on the JPM for this position within sixty working days of start date
